‘Kal vettil ezhudivital adhu unmai aaguma?

Translation to the title: ‘If written in stone, does it mean it's all true?’

In this current period that we are, the “age”(yugam),  power is harvested by the one who has wealth.

The greater the wealth, the greater the power and it is the one and only equation that is seamlessly tallied and openly accepted by the masses.

Great knowledge, pure qualities such as honesty and positive consciousness, etc are all indeed now ‘etc’; not a priority at all.  In fact, the ones who have these qualities in pushed back in the queue or not included in the queue at all.

So, what are the ways to manipulate to stay afloat in power and not let it go?

Kings of this era are quite sneaky to confuse people and manipulate the present by leveraging the past’s reality.

Before the Great War, there were scripts about stories of great kings and gods. The greatness of those individuals was somewhat exaggerated but true to an extent.

But at least the times were more peaceful, and people lived in harmony.  To maintain that there was even an epic war that took place under the title ‘dharma yudham’.

Anyhow, that’s all fine let's keep the details and all that as a reference for this topic.

All those events were recorded and inscribed in tablets and have been passed on for many generations.

Now, if you rewind from the present time like 500 or 1000 yrs back, some local kings or some kings with a smaller scope of work or ruling capacity understood that whatever was written in the name of god or kings (in the scriptures), people believed that is the truth and obey blindly.

So, the ruling leaders of this “age” took advantage of it. What they did was, they started to build temples and added the scripts on the walls of those temples.

A classic example is, HRH RR Cholan built the Shiva temple in Tanjavur, I understand, he was a hardcore bhakt of Shiva.

Everything was quite detailed about the temple’s vision, the plan, the marketing, the collection of money, raised tax, all attributes were quite detailed. The a similar approach in modern days too.

Now, whatever the king had ordered for his custom build temple, must be done including what he has asked the sculptor to write on the walls of the temple.

The temple is now complete. The writings are now on the walls of the temple itself, the temple, a place of worship, and a place where people believe where gods reside. It would be really hard for people not to believe those words written on the walls and begin to accept that as the divine truth. That’s the sort of psychological effect that the king planned to create upon the people that he ruled. Can you now sort of relate that to modern media propaganda?

He was the ruling king, and his people had to have some sort of justification that under his rule the land and its people are prosperous. The content of those scripts is primarily about “.The inscriptions elaborate on the enormous gold jewelry, inlaid with precious stones such as diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, rubies, corals, pearls, for decorating each of these bronzes” courtesy: The Hindu article https://www.thehindu.com/features/friday-review/history-and-culture//article61770314.ece

Of course, It is not going to reveal all the truth. But the reality could have been entirely different.

But since this all is on the walls of the temple; the people MUST believe it as the absolute truth because that was also the political and religious state of things back then. If you don’t believe, you will be categorized as an Anti-??? 😊
